Possession with Intent to Supply / Drug Trafficking
Possessing illegal drugs with the intention of selling, sharing, or distributing them to others, or being actively involved in drug production/importation.
Sentencing: Extremely serious offences, almost always sent to the Crown Court. Class A supply can carry up to life imprisonment. Class B and C supply carry up to 14 years imprisonment.
Fraud / Deception
Dishonestly making a false representation, failing to disclose information where there is a legal duty to do so, or abusing a position, with intent to make a gain or cause a loss (Fraud Act 2006).
Sentencing: Triable either way. Minor frauds are handled in the Magistrates' Court. Serious corporate or systematic fraud goes to the Crown Court and carries a statutory maximum of 10 years imprisonment.
